Ceramic fiber folded module lining is 70% lighter than light weight insulation brick and 75% ～ 80% lighter than castable lining.It can greatly reduce the load on the steel structure of the furnace and prolong the furnace body’s Service life.
(2)low heat capacity
The heat capacity of lining generally is proportional to the weight of the lining , low heat capacity means less heat absorption of kiln in reciprocating operation, and a high temperature rasing speed. Heat capacity of ceramic fiber is only 1/7 of lightweight refractory lining and lightweight fireclay, greatly reduced the energy consumption in the temperature’s operational control, especially has a very significant energy saving effect for intermittent operation of heating furnace.
When the average temperature of the ceramic fiber module is below 400 DEG, the thermal conductivity is less than 0.11W/ (K - M), and the thermal conductivity is less than 0.22W/ (M - K) when temperature is below 600 DEG, and the thermal conductivity is less than m (K - 0.28W/) at an average temperature of 1000 DEG. It’s about 1/8 of lightweight fireclay brick, is 1/10 of lightweight refractory(castable) lining, and the heat insulation effect is significant .
(4) thermal shock and mechanical shock resistance
The ceramic fiber module is flexible and has excellent resistance to temperature fluctuations and mechanical vibration.
